WESTMINSTER, Md.—Swarthmore College Men's Swimming cruised to an 87-53 win over the McDaniel College Green Terror on Saturday to start the 2015-16 season.
Freshman Jeff Tse set the pool record in his first collegiate meet in the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard breaststroke with times of 51.75 and 2:11.66, respectively. Junior
Andrew Steele set pool records in the 50-yard freestyle (21.50) and 100-yard butterfly (52.37). Classmate
Liam Fitzstevens set the pool record in the 200-yard backstroke (1:55.51) and won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:47.41.
Chris Smith won the 100-yard freestyle (48.84), and C.J. Cling swam to first in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:04.27.
Swarthmore continues the season against another Centennial Conference opponent on Saturday when it swims against Franklin & Marshall.
