MEET RESULTSGALLOWAY, N.J. – Sophomore
Paul Green recorded a runner-up finish in the 1,500-meter run to pace the Swarthmore College men's track & field team at the Osprey Open on Saturday, Apr. 5 held at Richard Stockton's G. Larry James Stadium.
Green crossed the line in 4:02.86 to lead a group of four Garnet runners who recorded a top-10 performance in the 1,500. Junior
Jonas Oppenheimer placed third in 4:04.86, while freshmen
Corey Branch and Eric Gagnon hit the tape in 4:15.33 and 4:16.50, respectively.
Other notable performances were made by juniors
Erick White and
Colton Aho. White was fifth in the 800 in 2:00.74 and
Colton Aho finished 11th in the shot put with a toss that sailed 38-feet, 4.75-inches to lead the Garnet in the field events.
Swarthmore will return to action next weekend to compete at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational in Baltimore on Saturday, Apr. 12.
