CHESTER, Pa. - Highlighted by personal best marks in distance events, the Swarthmore College men's track & field team continued it's outdoor season over the weekend at the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton University - a meet featuring many Division I programs and more than 1,000 athletes - while also competing at the Widener Outdoor Invitational.
On Friday evening from Princeton University, freshman
Sid Kakkar (14:54.94), senior
Robert Fain (14:55.66) and sophomore
Spencer Friske (15:19.22) recorded college-best marks in the 5,000-meter run.
In the 10,000-meter run on Friday evening from Widener, senior
Dan Kalamarides placed second overall with his 33:49.83 pace.
Junior
Jonas Oppenheimer recorded his best 1,500-meter run on Saturday afternoon, placing 13th among a field of 80 competitors, on a 3:57.92 time. Freshman
Corey Branch recorded a season-best 4:08.74 finish in the event.
The Garnet posted a pair top-20 finishes in the 800-meter - a field 62 competitors - as junior
Erick White placed fifth on a 1:56.21 pace followed by freshman
Stuart Arbuckle at 1:58.83.

Zain Hannan continued to excel in the sprint events nearly season-best marks in the 200m (22.81) and 400m (50.63) for sixth and third place, respectively. Junior
Jason Heo (58.38) and freshman
Jerry Qin (1:00.94) recorded season-best marks in the 400m hurdles.

Colton Aho threw the shot put a personal-best 12.18 meters (39' 11.5") and junior
Emanuel Schorsch recorded a college-best javelin 29.04 meters (95' 3").
