COMPLETE RESULTSHAVERFORD, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's track and field team opened its indoor season at the Jack Pyrah Invitational hosted by Haverford College on Saturday, Dec. 6.
Freshman
Noah Lifset made his collegiate debut competing in the 60-meter dash and 300-meter run. Winning both of his heats, top Garnet finisher Lifset finished the 60 in 7.67 seconds and the 300 in 40.50. Sophomore
Jerry Qin followed closely behind in the 300, crossing the line in 40.65. Sophomore
John Gagnon recorded a 9:29.12 mark in the 3,000-meter run, while senior
Emanuel Schorsch covered the 800 in 2:12.41.
In the long jump, sophomore
Chris Chan recorded a mark of 18-feet, 8.5-inches. Also competing in the field events was freshman
Andrew Jansen, who recorded a throw of 35-7.75 in the shot put.
Swarthmore will soon enter its final exams and winter break session. The Garnet resume competition in 2015 with the NYC Gotham Cup on Friday, January 16.
