LANCASTER, Pa. – Sophomore captain
Liam Fitzstevens has been named the Centennial Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week. He is the first student-athlete to win the award for the sport.
Fitzstevens, a native of Rochester, N.Y., factored into three winning performances to lead Swarthmore to a convincing 124-75 win over McDaniel on Saturday. He captured the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard backstroke with times of 2:03.14 and 55.15 seconds, respectively, and also swam the first leg of the 200 medley relay which posted a winning time of 1:38.73.
Swarthmore (1-0, CC 1-0) will host Franklin & Marshall on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m.
