CHAMPIONSHIP RACE RESULTSOPEN RACE RESULTSPRINCETON, N.J. – The Swarthmore College men's cross country team concluded its regular season race schedule on Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Princeton Invitational. Runners competed in both the championship and open 8k races.
Of the 37 scoring teams, Swarthmore placed 23rd overall in the championship race – competing amongst schools from both Divisions I and III. Villanova took first place with a 24:21 average and four runners placing in the top 10.
Sophomore
Sid Kakkar paced the Garnet with his 25:25 time. Senior Erik White, shaving 10 seconds from last season's finish, crossed the line at 25:41, and junior
Paul Green dropped more than a minute, clocking in in at 25:47.
Rounding out the top five Swarthmore finishers were junior
Mike McConville and sophomore
Corey Branch, completing the course together in 26:46 and 26:47, respectively.
Swarthmore will now prepare for the Centennial Conference Championships on Nov. 1 hosted by Haverford College.
