SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Freshman
Andrew Steele won an event and had a record-breaking performance to help propel the Swarthmore College men's swimming team to a 106-79 dual meet victory over Cabrini at the Ware Pool on Saturday, Jan. 25.
Steele finished first in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:52.48 early in the day before setting a college record in a 100 IM time trial with a time of 55.87 seconds to pace the Garnet. Other individual winners included
Samuel Tomlinson in the 100 back (58.71) and
Lincoln Harris in the 200 breast (2:22.54).
Additionally, a 200 medley relay team comprising of freshman
Liam Fitzstevens, senior
John Flaherty,
Stan Le and Steven Seukula posted a winning time of 1:42.57.
Swarthmore will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at Washington College at 6:30 p.m.
