EWING TOWNSHIP, N.J. – In the final meet before Centennial Conference championships, the Swarthmore College men's track and field team were back in action at the Lions' Invitational on Saturday hosted by TCNJ.
In the 1,500-meter, freshmen Dominc Castro-Wehr (4:10.36) and Spencer Friske (4:11.36) each picked up personal-best marks and sophomore Erick White placed in the top-20 with a 4:03.51 finish.
Sophomore Jonas Oppenheimer entered the program's top-10 performance list with a personal-best finish in the 800-meter (1:56.89). Sophomore Jason Heo covered the 400 hurdles in 58.97 and the 110 hurdles in 16.97 – both were top-20 finishes.
Senior Jordan Martinez clocked a season-best 51.30 in the 400-meter dash and the 4x100-meter relay team of Gavin Fahey, Zach Kronstat, Josh Gregory and Aaron Moser clocked 46.88 for ninth place.
In the field, Travis Mattingly covered 12.28 meters (40' 3.50") in the triple jump for 13th overall.
Swarthmore will meet conference foes for the outdoor championship beginning May 3 at Ursinus College.
