ATLANTA – The Swarthmore College men's track and field team opened its outdoor season at the 42nd Annual Morehouse Relays hosted by Morehouse College this past weekend. The meet came at the conclusion of the Garnet's spring training trip.

Swarthmore took over the 5,000-meter run as senior Jacob Phillips crossed the line first at 15:30.17, while Dan Kalamarides (3rd, 15:41.51) and Aidan DuMont-McCaffrey (4th, 15:41.84) clocked personal best marks in the event.

Continuing in the distance events, the squad tested its legs in the 1,500-meter run with 11 Garnet competitors. Highlighting the event, freshman Dan Creem finished fourth-overall at 4:12.88 followed by junior Richard Scott (8th, 4:18.50), freshman Paul Green (9th, 4:18.92) and freshman Spencer Friske (10th, 4:20.31).

Elsewhere on the track, Erick White (2:00.26) took fifth in the 800-meter run and senior Jordan Martinez used his quickness on the basketball court to finish a solid 24.12 200-meter dash.

Swarthmore will return to competition March 28-29 in the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University.
