LANCASTER, Pa. – Sophomore
Eva Winter won a breaststroke event for the third time this winter, but the Swarthmore College women's swimming team dropped a dual meet to Franklin & Marshall, 129-75, on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Kunkel Aquatic Center.
Winter, who was one of two Garnet swimmers to win an individual crown, was victorious in the 200-yard breastroke by hitting the wall in 2:32.32. Senior
Maggie Regan finished in the runner-up position by posting a time of 2:38.78.
Other notable performances were made by freshman
Erica Flor, sophomore
Nikkia Miller and senior
Rebecca Teng. Flor won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:12.11, while Miller and Teng recorded second-place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle and 200-yard individual medley with times of 25.59 seconds and 2:19.29, respectively. Both Miller and Teng finished under a second shy of the Franklin & Marshall (2-1, CC 2-1) winner in each event.
Swarthmore (1-2, CC 0-2) will return to Ware Pool on Saturday, Nov. 16 to host Rowan at 2 p.m.
