COMPLETE RESULTS
WESTMINSTER, Md. - The Swarthmore College men's cross country team placed fourth at the Centennial Conference Championships hosted by McDaniel College on Saturday afternoon.
Johns Hopkins out-paced Dickinson by five total points to take the conference title. Haverford placed third (61) followed by Swarthmore (116), Muhlenberg (139), Gettysburg and Franklin & Marshall tied with 206 points, McDaniel (241) and Ursinus (261).
Among 92 runners, junior
Erick White paced the Garnet with his 27:02.20 8,000-meter finish for 21st overall. The next five Swarthmore runners would finish in the 27-minute range.
Freshman
Sid Kakkar clocked in at 27:09.70 (25th) followed by junior
Jonas Oppenheimer (27:12.00, 27th), senior
Robert Fain (27:17.10, 29th) and rounding out the top-five Garnet finishers was sophomore
Paul Green at 27:24.60 (32nd).
Chris Stadler of Haverford won the individual men's title with a 25:42.90 finish - 16 seconds quicker than the second place finisher.
