Duncan Leads Men's Swimming Past Cabrini, 127-85

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Three wins from senior Daniel Duncan paced the Swarthmore men's swim team on Saturday, as it soundly defeated Cabrini in non-Conference action by a 127-85 score.

Duncan opened the individual events with a fast swim in the 1000 freestyle (10:10.33), and followed that up with wins in the 200 backstroke (2:03.02) and 400 IM (4:21.31).  He was the Garnet's only individual multiple winner of the day, although the Garnet did manage to win eleven individual events.  Swarthmore's other first-place finishers were freshman David Ranshous (200 freestyle, 1:54.32), senior Roger Chin (100 backstroke, 59.08), senior Josh Satre (200 butterfly, 2:09.56), sophomore Max Krackow (50 freestyle, 23.33), junior John Flaherty (100 freestyle, 52.48), freshman Riley Collins (200 breaststroke, 2:25.68), freshman Joshua Turek-Herman (500 freestyle, 5:07.48), and senior Charlie Hepper (200 IM, 2:08.04).

Swarthmore also swept the relay events, touching first in both the 200 medley relay (Chin, Flaherty, Krackow, and junior Stan Le, 1:43.70) and the 400 freestyle relay (Krackow, Chin, Ranshous, and junior Peter Ballen, 3:36.13).

The Garnet returns to the pool on Wednesday, taking on Conference rival Washington at home.  Action is set to begin at 6 pm.
