SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The strength of the sophomore class and three fast swims from freshman Jessica Seigel led the Swarthmore women's swim team to its second win of the year on Saturday, a 112-84 romp over 320-rival Widener.

Sophomores Supriya Davis and Kate Wiseman gave the Garnet their usual winning performances, as each touch first in two individual events and participated in the first-place 400 medley relay, along with junior Rebecca Teng and freshman Eva Winter.  Davis was the winner in the 200 freestyle (1:58.69) and 500 freestyle (5:22.33), while Wiseman beat the field in both sprint freestyle distances (25.41 and 55.60).

Seigel, in the second meet of her college career, demolished the field in her two individual victories, taking the 1000 freestyle in 11:12.69, more than 45 seconds ahead of her closest competitor, and earned first place by nine seconds in the 200 butterfly (2:16.40).  She touched second to Davis in the 500 free in 5:31.13.

The Garnet's other individual wins came courtesy of junior Margaret Regan, who won the 200 IM (2:20.30) and Winter, who touched first in the 200 breaststroke (2:34.58).

Swarthmore returns to Centennial Conference action on Sunday as Franklin & Marshall visits Ware Pool. Action is set to begin at 1pm.
