PRINCETON, N.J. - Competing against teams from Division I and Ivy League schools, the Swarthmore College men's Cross Country team participated in the Princeton Invitational this weekend. Ten runners from Swarthmore participated, with junior Stuart Russell leading the Garnet.
Russell finished 115 in the field of 212 runners, with a time of 25:50 for the five-mile course. Two seconds behind Russell was senior Aidan DuMont-McCaffrey, who finished in 25:52 (117th). McCaffrey was neck-and-neck with sophomore Jonas Oppenheimer, who finished the race in 25:52 (120th) as well.
Juniors
Dan Kalamarides and
Robert Fain rounded out the top five Swarthmore runners, finishing with times of 26:14 and 26:24, respectively.
Overall, the team finished 21st in the field. This is the team's final meet ahead of the Centennial Conference Championship at Haverford on Saturday, October 27, scheduled to begin at 11:00.
