LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Swarthmore College women's volleyball team received its 17
th consecutive AVCA Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Thursday.
The Garnet were one of 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball programs to earn the honor, which recognizes squads that posted a GPA of at least 3.30 for the 2025-26 academic year. It is the 20
th time overall that Swarthmore has garnered the award since its inception in 1992.
The honor caps off another successful year in the classroom for the Garnet with
Melissa Eyer and
Keira Miles picking up Academic All-District accolades from College Sports Communicators. Eyer was also selected to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Team while 10 players were named to the Centennial Academic Honor Roll.
Swarthmore went 17-12 and qualified for the Centennial Conference Tournament.
