COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's indoor track & field team produced several strong performances at Ursinus College's Frank Colden Invitational on Saturday.
Rica Eleches-Lipsitz and
Alyson Goldbacher led the way with victories in the mile and pole vault respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Eleches-Lipsitz posted a winning time of 5:28.83 in the mile. The rookie recorded a career best, smashing their previous standard in the event by 20 seconds.
Bella Thoen also achieved a personal record during the race, knocking 11 seconds off her previous best to finish fifth (5:35.10).
- Goldbacher equaled her program record in the pole vault that she set just a week ago, clearing a height of 3.20m for first place. She hit the mark on her second attempt.
Sophia Springer took sixth place (2.75m).

Rebekah Gendler registered a career best in the long jump and came in third place (4.99m). The sophomore also had a sixth-place showing in the triple jump with a leap of 9.97m.

Caroline Hill posted a pair of top-five finishes, taking fourth (9.83) in the 60 meter hurdles and fifth (1.50m) in the high jump. She surpassed her career best in the 60 hurdles by just 0.01 seconds.
Kate Reiter was behind Hill in the high jump, placing ninth (1.40m).

Tate Garcia tossed the shot put 11.78m to come in third place.
Aaliyah Anaskevich crossed the line seventh (10:59.58) in the 3000 meters, shaving 20 seconds off her personal best.
Hannah Garrou ran the 200 meters in 27.85 seconds to place ninth and
Vivian Molnar was ninth (12.98m) in the weight throw. Molnar's mark was a career best.
