LANCASTER, Pa. – Swarthmore College's
Clay Almgren was chosen the Centennial Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday by the conference office.
Almgren posted back-to-back career days to lead the 18
th ranked Garnet to a pair of victories. The senior totaled 11 goals, seven assists, 18 points, eight ground balls, and one caused turnover over the two contests. He opened the week with a career-high seven goals in Swarthmore's 16-7 win at Eastern. Almgren then topped the effort with a career-best 11 points on four goals and seven assists in another 16-7 victory versus Messiah. The performance included his 200
th career point, becoming just the fourth player in program history to reach the milestone. Almgren currently ranks in the top-20 in Division III in assists per game, goals per game, and points per game.
Swarthmore is back in action on Saturday at Elizabethtown College.
