COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's track & field team began competition at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Championships on Friday at Ursinus College. The Garnet sit in seventh place after three events.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Gabriel Hines took fourth place in the pole vault with a season-best height of 4.30m. The 2024 indoor champion narrowly missed out on a medal as the third-place finisher cleared the previous height of 4.15m in one fewer attempt.

Jasper Mosley scored a point for Swarthmore in the 10,000 meters, coming in eighth place with a time of 32:39.53.

Jackson Mejia and
Alan Nichols were ninth (3.55m) and 12
th (3.10m) respectively behind Hines in the pole vault.

The Garnet will look to move up the standings on day two of the championships on Saturday.
