PHILADELPHIA – Swarthmore College's
Danny Castle and
Cole Griscavage were selected to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Men's Swimming & Diving Team this week. The team was nominated and voted on by the athletic communications offices of 30 colleges and universities in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area.
Castle competed at the NCAA Division III Championships as a member of four relays. He earned All-America Second Team distinction as a member of the 200 and 400 free relays. Castle was chosen as the Most Outstanding Performer at the Centennial Championships after winning gold in six events (200 MR, 200 IM, 200 FR, 200 Free, 100 Free, 400 FR). The sophomore also won a silver as part of the 800 free relay. Castle broke the program record in the 100 freestyle and was a member of three record-breaking relays. The 2024 Centennial Rookie of the Year, he was also a Scholar All-America Second Team choice in 2024.
Griscavage also raced on four relays at the NCAA Championships, garnering All-America Second Team honors with the 200 and 400 free relays. He earned four All-Centennial First Team selections (200 MR, 400 MR, 200 FR, 400 FR), two second team nods (50 free, 100 free), and one honorable mention (100 breast) at the Centennial Championships. Griscavage is a member of four program-record holding relays and a career three-time All-American.
The duo helped the Garnet capture their fourth consecutive Centennial title.
