WEST CHESTER, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's track & field team earned several top-10 finishes at the Bill Butler Invitational, hosted by West Chester University on Saturday. The Garnet placed ninth overall with 27 team points.

Charlie Schuetz and Kenneth Relovsky both claimed runner-up finishes on the track. Schuetz narrowly took second place in the 1500m, while Relovsky battled to a strong second-place finish in the 800m. Robert Mirabello also competed in both events, recording top-10 times in each.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Schuetz and Mirabello both earned top-three finishes in the 1500m run. Schuetz claimed the runner-up spot with a time of 4:04.98, just a tenth of a second behind the winner. Mirabello followed closely in third at 4:05.00, while Joey Alander finished ninth with a time of 4:12.50. Jasper Mosley (4:16.72), Matthew Fleming (4:22.17) and Spencer Etheridge (4:23.33) also had notable finishes as they placed towards the top half of the field. 

- Relovsky raced to a runner-up finish in the 800m run with a 1:58.43 effort. Mirabello placed eighth at 2:03.27, while Fleming was 15th with a 2:09.89 mark. The finish marked Mirabello's second top-10 result of the meet. 

- Quentin Adolphe posted a top-10 time in the 400m dash. The senior placed sixth overall with a time of 53.11. 

- Archer Manning was tenth in the javelin throw, recording a top distance of 38.42m. Kevin Medina also performed well in the discus throw, placing 12th at 32.46m. 

- Alan Nichols tied for 19th in the 100m dash with a 11.55 finish. He then placed tenth in the 200m dash, finishing at 23.35.
