Men’s Swimming Opens NCAA Championships, Wilson Breaks Program Record

GREENSBORO, NC - Cami Wilson headlined the No. 23 Swarthmore College men's swimming team's return to the NCAA National Championships with a program record in the 50 freestyle on Wednesday morning.

Wilson raced to a lifetime best and a school record in the 50 freestyle, but narrowly missed out on a finals appearance by two spots. The junior was also a member of the men's 400 medley relay, which swam to the second-fastest finish in program history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wilson narrowly missed out on qualifying for the 50 freestyle finals. The junior raced to a school record of 20.25 to finish 18th overall in the prelims. Wilson shaved a few hundreds-of-seconds off his previous best, which was achieved with a gold medal finish at the 2025 Centennial Championships.

- The 400 medley relay of Levi Tipton, Cole Griscavage, Wilson and Danny Castle placed 19th overall in the prelims with a time of 3:17.80. The quartet recorded the second-fastest mark in program history. Tipton swam a lifetime best in his 100 backstroke split, which moved him into third all-time in program history. Griscavage and Castle also posted lifetime-best splits, while Wilson swam to his second-fastest split.
