GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's cross country team placed third overall at the Centennial Conference Championships on Saturday. Johns Hopkins placed first overall at the championship meet, while Gettysburg College beat out the Garnet for the second spot. 

Charlotte Martin led the way for Swarthmore with a 22nd-place effort, while Elizabeth Page followed in 23rd overall. The Garnet placed three runners in the top-30 and had seven inside the top-50. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Martin continued to shine in her rookie campaign, leading the way for the Garnet. The sophomore placed 22nd overall in her championship debut with a time of 22:38.9. Martin set a personal record by a couple seconds, recording a new best in every race this season. 

- Page trailed a spot behind Martin with a 23rd place finish. The sophomore recorded a season-best time of 22:44.8 to finish six seconds behind her teammate. 

- Ania Wong secured a top-30 finish at 26th overall. The sophomore crossed the finish line at 22:54.0 to record her best mark of the season. 

- Olivia Montini and Téa Malone-Bonacci finished 32nd and 33rd, respectively. Montini led the duo with a time of 23:13.9, while Malone-Bonnaci followed behind at 23:17.7

- Aaliyah Anaskevich came in at 37th overall with a time of 23:45.5. Rica Eleches-Lipsitz followed in 44th place to round out the team's top-seven. The first-year set a personal record at 24:15.40.
