BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's cross country team earned a 32nd place finish out of 45 teams at the Paul Short Run 6k white race on Friday. 

Charlotte Martin finished as the team's top finisher with a 136th-place finish in the team's first 6k of the season. Téa Malone-Bonacci, Aaliyah Anaskevich and Bella Thoen all placed inside the team's top-seven finishers, while setting collegiate personal records. 


HOW IT HAPPENED
- Martin raced to a time of 23:04.0 to lead the Garnet in a highly-competitive field. The sophomore placed 136th overall. Malone-Bonnaci followed closely behind in 144th place, finishing with a 23:07.9 effort. The junior set a personal record by nearly 50-seconds. 

- Ania Wong recorded the team's third fastest mark with a time of 23:21.0. The sophomore placed 173rd overall. 

- Anaskevich set a personal record for the third-straight race to open her sophomore campaign. The sophomore posted a 23:44.1 mark to improve her best by nearly 40-seconds. She finished 221st overall.

- Abra Mazzeo was 253rd overall with a time of 24:05.6, while fellow rookie Rica Eleches-Lipitz finished 264th at 24:16.3. Bella Thoen wrapped up the team's top-seven with a 24:54.3 finish, earning 312th overall.
