NEWVILLE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's cross country team placed third at the Centennial Conference Championships run at Big Spring High School on Saturday. The Garnet climbed three spots from their finish a year ago and their 81 points was their best total since 2005.
Olivia Montini led Swarthmore with a sixth-place finish, completing the 6K course in 22:29.9 to earn All-Centennial First Team accolades. It was her career-best time at the conference championships.

Ania Wong picked up All-Centennial Second Team honors, coming across 10
th (22:39.7) and 12
th (22:45.7) respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Montini was the only non-Johns Hopkins runner to earn First Team distinction and she is also the first Swarthmore harrier to grab a spot on the All-Centennial First Team since Nyika Corbett in 2006. She surpassed her previous best at a conference meet by an impressive 66 seconds.
- Page and Wong helped the Garnet earn three All-Centennial selections for the first time since 1997.
- Téa Malone-Bonacci came in 34
th place with a time of 24:10.4.
Sophie Goodwin followed in 36
th position (24:16.4). Both athletes improved upon their best times at a conference championship.

Aaliyah Anaskevich and
Tara Dhawale crossed the line back-to-back in 42
nd (24:43.5) and 43
rd (24:46.3) respectively to round out Swarthmore's top seven.
