HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's cross country team came in fourth place at the Main Line Invitational hosted by Haverford College on Friday. The Garnet were the top Division III team at the event, finishing behind a trio of Division I squads.
Olivia Montini led Swarthmore and was the top Division III finisher on the three-mile course, coming in 18
th place with a time of 18:16.2. Sophia Goodwin was the best D3 rookie and rounded out the top 30, crossing the line in 19:24.9.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Montini recorded the second-best mile pace of her career at 6:05.4. She placed ahead of several Division I runners and was nearly a minute ahead of the next Division III athlete.
- Goodwin improved upon her pace by 30 seconds from Swarthmore's opening race, running at a 6:28.3 clip.

Charisma Hasan bested her performance from a year ago on the same course, taking 39
th place with a time of 20:12.4.
- Tea Malone-Bonnaci made her collegiate debut and crossed 41
st (20:20.6).

Morgan McErlean, and
Bella Thoen also scored for the Garnet, placing 45
th (20:27.2), 47
th (20:29.5), and 49
th (20:36.9) respectively.
