SWARTHMORE, PA. - Taking on Centennial rival Ursinus College, the Swarthmore women's lacrosse team will play in the second annual Anita Deasey Memorial Cup game on Wednesday, Apr. 5 at 7:00 p.m.
A former assistant coach for both Swarthmore and Urisnus, Deasey will be honored by each squad, with the Anita Deasey Memorial Cup being presented to the winner of the matchup. In the words of Swarthmore head coach
Karen Borbee, "In this way, we may acknowledge Anita's living passion for high achievement, love of competition, integrity for fair play, and enthusiasm for the game."
In the 2022 iteration of the game, Ursinus came out on top over Swarthmore by a score of 12-11, with the Bears overtaking the Garnet through two goals late in the fourth quarter to capture the back-and-forth win. That Garnet saw excellent performances out of then first years
