PHILADELPHIA – Swarthmore College's
Annabel Stifler was named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Women's Lacrosse Team on Tuesday.
Stifler earned the honor for the first time in her career. The team is voted on by the athletic communications offices of the institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Stifler garnered All-Region Second Team distinction after leading Swarthmore with 63 goals and 67 points. She also recorded 22 caused turnovers, 20 ground balls, and 19 draw controls. The senior was an All-Centennial First Team honoree. Stifler ranked eighth in the region in goals per game and 11
th in shot percentage (.543). She produced a season-high seven goals and eight points versus Washington College in the Centennial Tournament.
Stifler helped the Garnet post a 13-5 record for their highest win total since 2006. They also advanced to the Centennial semifinals for the first time since 2012.
