Swarthmore Men's Basketball Centennial Championship Semifinals Information

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The No. 15 Swarthmore College men's basketball team will host Gettysburg College in the Centennial Conference Championship Semifinals on Friday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m in Tarble Pavilion. Fans are encouraged to wear white to support the Garnet, while the first 100 Swarthmore fans will receive a white rally towel.

TICKETING
Tickets can be purchased in advance using the following link. Admission is $3 for fans aged 13-18 and $5 for adults. All fans 12 & under are free, and Swarthmore students, faculty, and staff presenting a current Swarthmore ID will have their admission covered. One entry per OneCard. Tickets are also available at the door, CASH ONLY and pending availability. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. 

PARKING
Parking can be challenging.  The most convenient locations are the Fieldhouse, West Fieldhouse Lane, Benjamin West, 101 S Chester Rd, and Septa Commuter lots. There is an additional lot adjacent to the Septa Commuter lot that is also available. All of these lots are located on the campus map. Parking in the Swarthmore Inn lot is prohibited. Violators may be ticketed or towed.



The Garnet earned a first-round bye as the second seed in the tournament. Swarthmore finished the regular season with a 22-3 overall record and a 16-2 conference mark. Vinny DeAngelo has led the way for the Garnet with 16.9 points per game as he currently ranks fourth in the Centennial in scoring. Seniors George Visconti and Colin Shaw have also played a crucial role for the Garnet - averaging 14.1 and 9.8 points, respectively.

The third-seeded Bullets earned their way to the semifinals with a victory over Franklin & Marshall College, 71-51, on Tuesday night. Gettysburg split the season series with the Garnet as they most recently beat Swarthmore last Saturday, 78-65, in the season finale. The Bullets ended the season with a 16-10 overall record and a 12-6 conference mark. They have been led the season by Carl Schaller, Jordan Stafford and Elijah Williams, who all average double figures for Gettysburg.

The winner of Friday's contest will advance to Sunday's championship round to battle the winner of Johns Hopkins/Muhlenberg. The No. 7 Blue Jays earned the top seed with a 16-2 conference record, while the Muhls were seeded fourth with a 12-6 mark. Both teams also split their season series.
