GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The No. 25 Swarthmore College men's swimming team opened the Centennial Championships with the first session on Thursday night. The Garnet competed in the 200 medley and 800 freestyle relays to begin their title defense. 

Swarthmore took home a gold medal and earned an NCAA b-cut in the 800 freestyle to highlight the opening night. The Garnet currently sit in third place after the opening night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The team of Ham Williams-Tracy, Ethan Marotte, Ben Freeman and AJ Das took first overall in the 800 freestyle. The team posted an NCAA b-cut time of 6:43.52 in the event.

UP NEXT
The Garnet return to the pool tomorrow with session two beginning at 10 a.m and session three set to start at 6 p.m. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for spectators.
