Men's Basketball Championship Information

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - On Saturday, No. 21 Swarthmore College Men's Basketball locked up the second seed for this weeks Centennial Conference Basketball Championship.

Johns Hopkins University, who will host the upcoming tournament, clinched the top seed, while Gettysburg College, Dickinson College, and Ursinus College round out the field of participants. The Garnet will begin their quest for a third Centennial Conference Championship on Friday as they take on the No. 3 seed Bullets at 6:00 p.m.

The Centennial Conference Championship will compete with spectators, but Johns Hopkins has a strict masking requirement. "Per Johns Hopkins' current on-campus requirements for all indoor spaces, fans will be required to mask at all times while attending an indoor athletic event.  Fans are required to wear an N95, KN95 or a combination of a cloth mask with a surgical mask. In other words, a cloth mask alone or a surgical mask alone does not meet the university's masking requirements. The current capacity for Goldfarb Gymnasium is limited to 550 spectators due to JHU covid protocols." The full policy can be found by clicking here.

Against the field, Swarthmore is 6-2 this season with a season sweep over the Blue Jays and Bullets. Swarthmore and Johns Hopkins have split the last four championships, as the Garnet make their eighth appearance and sixth straight to the end of year tournament.
