LANCASTER, Pa. -- Swarthmore College Track & Field's Naomi Bronkema won her first-career Centennial Conference Field Athlete of the Week Award for her performances in the shot put and high jump at the Haverford Holiday Meet on Saturday.

The junior from Strasburg, Pa., won the shot put with a throw of 10.88 meters, which ranks third in the conference. Her second-place high jump of 1.50 meters is tied for second in the CC.

Bronkema and the Garnet compete again on Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Coach I Open in Lancaster, Pa., hosted by Franklin & Marshall College.
