LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Swarthmore College Volleyball juniors
Mehra den Braven and
Emma Morgan-Bennett landed on the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III honorable mention All-America teams on Tuesday morning.
Both Den Braven and Morgan-Bennett were listed as first team Mid-Atlantic All-Region honorees on Thursday.
This is Den Braven's second straight year being named an honorable mention All-American. An outside hitter, Den Braven's 3.68 kills per set were a career high that ranked 58th in the nation in 2018. She was second among Garnet players with 271 digs, 3.08 digs per set and eight solo blocks this season. Den Braven became the seventh player in Swarthmore history to reach 1,000 career kills on Oct. 27. She currently has 1,008.
Morgan-Bennett, a middle blocker, is an All-American for the first time. She set career highs in hitting percentage (.311), kills (244), kills per set (2.77), solo blocks (25) and block assists (72), among other statistics. She ranked 25th in the nation with 1.10 blocks per set.

Swarthmore went 14-10 in 2018 and had its season come to a close with a loss in the Centennial Conference semifinals. The Garnet have made five straight trips to the conference playoffs.
