HAVERFORD, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Cross Country finished in second place among Division III schools at the Main Line Invite hosted by Haverford College.
Irina Bukharin led the Garnet with a time of 18:42.6 for fourth place overall in the three-mile run. Teammate
Lilly Price was behind her in fifth place with a time of 18:59.9.
Xiaojing Zeng took 10th overall after a run of 19:07.1.
Kenzie Himelein-Wachowiak's mile pace of 6:27.7 set her up for 11th place and a time of 19:23.1.
Hannah Gutow ran to a 13th place finish with a time of 19:34.1. Swarthmore's sixth and seventh runners were not too far behind as
Jillian Haywood ran the course in 19:37.6 and
Phoebe Whiteside finished in 19:40.0.
The Garnet are back in action in two weeks at the Paul Short Meet at Lehigh University.
