AMHERST, Mass.–The 27th-ranked Swarthmore College men's tennis team faced a road setback on Saturday, April 15 with an 8-1 loss to 13th-ranked Amherst College.
The hosts swept doubles and won five of the six singles courts.
Josh Powell picked up a point for the Garnet with a win at fourth singles in a third set super tiebreaker for a 6-3, 3-6, 1-0(4) overall win. At first singles,
Mark Fallati fought to extend his match to third before falling by a 2-6, 5-7 score.
The Garnet return to their Centennial Conference slate on Wednesday, April 19 with a road match at Muhlenberg at 4 p.m
