GETTYSBURG, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Cross Country recorded 105 points en route to a fourth-place finish at Sunday's Centennial Conference Championship.
The Garnet's top finisher was
Xiaojing Zeng who finished in 15th with a time of 23:06.7. The rest of Swarthmore's top-five runners all placed in the top-30 of the field.
Lilly Price finished 20th with a time of 23:36.6, and
Irina Bukharin was nine seconds behind for 21st place.
Kenzie Himelein-Wachowiak clocked in at 23:48.5 and took 23rd.
Jillian Haywood ran to 26th with a time of 23:58.5.
Swarthmore's sixth and seventh runners were
Phoebe Whiteside and Hannah Gutow. Whiteside ran in 25:21.0 and Gutow ran in 25:28.0.
Johns Hopkins University won the Conference Championship with 25 points. The Blue Jays' Ellie Clawson took first overall with a time of 21:17.8.
Swarthmore will spend the next two weeks preparing for the NCAA Regional Meet on Nov. 11.
