CENTER VALLEY, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Cross Country finished eighth overall at the NCAA Regional Championship on Saturday on the campus of DeSales University.
The Garnet compiled a total team time of 1:54:45 in the 6K race against a field of 51 teams. Swarthmore's top three runners all finished in the top 50. Senior
Indy Reid-Shaw earned All-Region honors with a 19th-place overall finish. Reid-Shaw has now won All-Region honors in all four of her seasons (She was named Rookie All-Region as a freshman). She ran Saturday's course in a time of 22:22.
Fellow senior
Tess Wei completed the course in a time of 23:11 and finished 42nd overall. Junior
Irina Bukharin finished 50th overall with a time of 23:23. Freshman
Lilly Price crossed the line six seconds later; her time of 23:29 was fourth for the Garnet and 58th overall.
Senior
Natalie McLaughlin posted a time of 24:00, 81st overall.
Hanna Gutow and
Xiaojing Zeng had the sixth and seventh times for Swarthmore, both sub-25 minute times. Gutow ran in 24:24 and Zeng in 24:55.
Johns Hopkins University had the top score in the region, winning with a score of 38.
