LEHIGH, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Cross Country traveled to Lehigh University Saturday to compete in the highly-competive Paul Short Run. The Garnet finished 19th out of a field of 42 teams of NCAA Division I, II and III and CIS teams with 533 points in the 6K Paul Short Brown race. Among Division III teams, Swarthmore placed 11th. The Garnet scorers posted an average time of 22:46.
Indy Reid-Shaw placed 24th with a time of 21:48, besting her 2015 time by 34 seconds.
Irina Bukharin finished in 43rd overall, crossing the tape at 22:09. Bukharin improved by 53 seconds since last year's run.
Natalie McLaughlin also posted a sub-23 time, finishing in 22:57.
Lilly Price wasn't too far behind McLaughlin; Price crossed in 23:09.
Kate Hannah added Swarthmore's fifth score with a time of 23:47.
Bret Serbin and
Xiaojing Zeng ran the course in 24:14 and 24:23, respectively.
The Garnet face another tough field on Oct. 15 at the Inter-Regional Border Battle in Glassboro, N.J.
