NEW ORLEANS—Swarthmore College Women's Cross Country begins the 2015 season ranked No. 30 in the nation according to Wednesday's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Poll.
In 2014, the Garnet finished finished fifth overall in a Mideast Region fraught with competitive squads. The Garnet return two All-Mideast Region runners:
Indy Reid-Shaw and
Sarah Nielsen. Swarthmore joins three other Mideast schools in the top-35 ranking, including the No. 1 team Johns Hopkins.
Swarthmore runs in the Main Line Invitational on Sept. 18 and then will get a look at more of the regional teams on Oct. 2 at the Paul Short meet.
