HAVERFORD, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Cross Country senior
Katie Jo McMenamin placed sixth overall with a time of 16:58 on the three-mile Main Line Invitational course on the campus of Haverford College.
The Garnet scored 95 to finish in third place out of the six Division I and III teams.
McMenamin's 16:58 time, an average mile time of 5:39.3, was 42 seconds quicker than her time at the Main Line Invitational last season.
Swarthmore next four scorers finished in the 20th, 22nd, 23rd and 24th scoring positions.
Indy Reid-Shaw crossed the finish line in 18:05, and
Irina Bukharin followed with a 18:27 time.
Sarah Nielsen was three seconds behind her with a 18:30 mark and
Kate Hannah continued the pattern with a time of 18:33.
The Garnet continue the season with the Paul Short Run on Oct. 2 at Lehigh University.
