Muhlenberg (7-5, CC 3-3) scored the first four goals of the game in a quick span of 3:08 and led from wire-to-wire. Umbach won the opening draw and found the back of the net just 10 seconds into the game and capped the early run with another unassisted marker at 26:52.
After the slow start, Swarthmore got right back into the game by netting three unanswered just 4:18 apart. Seniors
Elizabeth Bachman and Lentricchia as well as sophomore

Umbach, however, took over the game herself from there and scored four times while assisting on another tally to put Muhlenberg back ahead by a comfortable 10-4 margin with 10 minutes remaining in the opening half. She then added two more tallies in the final minute to make it 13-7 at the break.
Muhlenberg got off to a fast start in the second half as well, netting four of the first six goals in the frame to take a 17-9 lead with 17:07 left. Lentriccia responded with two straight markers and was going for another when she was awarded a free position attempt from the far right corner, but the Muhlenberg defense surrounded her and the senior was unable to get a shot off. Umbach then finished a pass from Kelsey Nagle at the other end to put the game away.
