Box Score LANCASTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's lacrosse team was dealt a 15-3 setback by #3 Franklin & Marshall on Saturday, Apr. 11 at Tylus Field.
Franklin & Marshall (12-1, CC 5-0), which has been ranked as high as first in the nation by the IWLCA this season, opened the game with six straight goals. Brittney Jorgenseon scored twice while Grace Saliba recorded a goal and two helpers during the stretch.

Lizzie Kolln put Swarthmore on the board at 9:07 and freshman
Taylor Chiang found the back of the net a few minutes later, but the Diplomats answered with two goals and took a 9-2 lead into recess after getting a buzzer-beating marker from Paige Moriarty.
Swarthmore struck first in the second half when senior
Elyse Tierney scored an unassisted marker to bring the Garnet within six in an attempted rally. The Diplomats, however, quickly regained control again and finished the game by netting another six unanswered.
Kaitlin Hardt picked up the victory in goal for F&M, which outshot Swarthmore 36-11 and forced the visitors to commit 27 turnovers. Junior
Connie Bowen made 10 saves for the Garnet in the loss.
Swarthmore (7-5, CC 2-3), which is still in the hunt for a playoff spot, returns home to face Muhlenberg on Wednesday, Apr. 15 at 7 p.m.
