Kathryn Restrepo each recorded four goals and five points to lead the Swarthmore College women's lacrosse team to a convincing 17-4 victory over Alvernia on Tuesday, March 17 at Schlager Memorial Field.

Elyse Tierney for one of her four goals just 44 seconds later to ignite a seven-goal outburst for the Garnet. A Restrepo rocket on a free position made it 13-2 at the recess.

Nathalie Perry-Freer and
Christine McGinn anchored a Garnet defensive effort that only yielded one goal over the final 30 minutes. Senior
Elizabeth Bachman gave Swarthmore a 10-goal cushion at 23:20 by finishing a pass from Kolln to open the scoring after the break before Lentricchia capped the scoring with a strike at the 7:07 mark. Sutton ended a goal-scoring drought that lasted nearly 34 minutes by converting a free position shot to seal the final outcome.
Junior
Connie Bowen picked up the victory for Swarthmore by making seven saves, including five in the second half, while Alvernia's Colleen Reilly was charged with the loss after turning away four shots in just over 33 minutes of action. Swarthmore outshot Alvernia 28-18 and had a 13-9 advantage in draw controls, while Alvernia (1-2) finished with a 13-12 edge in ground balls.
