Box Score SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Twelve different players factored into at least one goal to lead No. 6 Gettysburg to a 17-5 win over the Swarthmore College women's lacrosse team on Saturday, Apr. 5 at Clothier Field.

But that was as close as the Garnet would come, as Gettysburg (9-1, CC 4-0) rattled off another three unanswered to take a 6-1 lead. The visitors closed out the half on a 5-0 run with five different players finding the back of the net and another three assisting on the tallies.
Trailing 11-2 at the break, Swarthmore attempted to get back in the game early in the second half and netted two in a row to chip the deficit down to seven. Sommi completed a hat trick at 27:59 before senior
Lucy Whitacre capitalized on a free position shot with 26:26 on the clock.
Kelsey Markiewicz, however, netted three straight goals in a span of 1:26 for three of her game-high five points to put the Bullets ahead by a 14-4 score. Emma Christie, a freshman, then sealed the final outcome with a marker at 8:02.
Gettysburg outshot Swarthmore 35-10 and also had a 15-9 advantage in draw controls. The Bullets, who utilized three goalkeepers in the game, also scooped up 11 ground balls while the Garnet finished with six.
