Box Score MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The Swarthmore College women's soccer team was dealt a 2-0 loss by 10th-ranked Montclair State on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Pittser Field.
The Red Hawks netted a goal in each half to remain unbeaten in 16 straight matches after dropping their season opener to Johns Hopkins. Stefanie Gomes put the hosts on the board in the 42nd minute before Kerry Glynn doubled the advantage in the 58th to seal the final outcome.
Montclair State (15-1-1) had a 12-6 advantage in total shots and a 6-1 edge in corner kicks over Swarthmore (9-6), which was facing a nationally-ranked opponent for a record-tying third time this season. The Garnet previously faced three ranked teams in 2009, which was highlighted by a 1-0 triumph over Dickinson.
