GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The No. 14 Swarthmore College women's soccer team ran its unbeaten streak to 11 games with a 3-1 road win at Gettysburg College on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Garnet blitzed the Bullets defense early and often, recording nine shots in the opening 31-plus minutes. However, it was friendly fire that allowed Swarthmore to take a 1-0 lead in the 32
nd minute. The Garnet sent in a cross from the right sideline and a Gettysburg defender looked to clear it away with a header. However, the ball bounced the other way and went into the net.
- Reed made it a 2-0 lead in the 38
th minute. The junior warded off a defender as she dribbled down the right side of the box towards the goal. She then beat the goalkeeper to the left side for her fifth goal of the year.
- Gizzie increased the margin to three on Swarthmore's first shot of the second half. They intercepted a clearing pass near the top of the box and fired the ball past the goalie in the 50
th minute.
- The Garnet defense took care of the rest with a three-goal lead, allowing just three shots through 87 minutes of play. A foul in the box with just 2:05 left gave the Bullets their only goal of the day as they converted the penalty kick.
