LANCASTER, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's swim team finished the first day of the Centennial Conference championship hosted by Franklin & Marshall in sixth place on Friday night, with junior John Flaherty providing the Garnet with its first medal of the year.
Flaherty earned a bronze medal in the 200 IM in 1:55.99, outtouching the fourth-place finisher by 1-100th of a second.
Senior Daniel Duncan also made the A-final in the IM, finishing sixth in 1:57.38.
The championship meet will resume tomorrow at 10 am, with a finals session at 6:00 p.m.
