BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's cross country team placed 17th out of 45 teams at the 40th Annual Paul Short Run on Saturday afternoon.

In the Brown (6k) run Swarthmore was led by sophomore Sarah Nielsen who clocked in at 23:20 for 71st place overall in a field of 365 runners. Jenna Cody '16 finished close behind at 23:28 and senior Emma Saarel at 23:31.

Sophomore Kate McMenamin crossed the finish at 23:33 and senior Liz Tawa rounded out the top Garnet finishers at 24:43.

The Garnet compete in one last race before the conference championships, traveling to the Princeton Invitational on October 19th.
