CARLISLE, Pa. – Freshman Jenna Cody finished fourth overall for the Swarthmore College women's cross country team on the long course of the Dickinson Long/Short Run on Saturday morning. She crossed the line in 23:24.5 as the team finished with 45 points to finish tied third overall with Dickinson.
Emma Saarel placed 19th at 24:24.3, while freshman Katie McMenamin clocked in next for the Garnet at 24:45.9 for 29th place.
Freshman Sarah Neilson (25:33.7) and sophomore Liz Tawa (26:01.5) rounded out the top-five finishers for Swarthmore on the long course.
Kate Crowley (26:08.1), Zoe Cina-Sklar (27:03.5), Marina Martinez (28:10.6) and Maisie Wiltshire-Gordan (29:39.9) also finished for the Garnet in a 213 field of runners.
Four runners competed for Swarthmore in the short run; Ximena Violante, Rebekah Eichberg, Kelsey Rico, Sun Park to finish 17th overall.
Swarthmore women's cross country will compete next at the Princeton Invitational on October 13th.
