HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's cross country program competed at the Main Line Invitational Thursday evening on the Haverford College Alumni Course.
Freshman
Jenna Cody finished the three-mile course first for the Garnet, recording a time of 17:47.80. Cody, who placed 15
th overall, paced a group of 10 Swarthmore runners in action in the meet, which included six local schools.
Rebecca Hammond crossed the line next with a time of 18:05.10 for 21
st overall.
Katie McMenamin, a freshman, clocked in about five seconds later at 18:10.40. Closing out the top five runners for the Garnet was
Emma Saarel with a time of 18:41.70.
For 39
th overall, Sarah Nielson crossed the mats at 18:52.60, followed by
Liz Tawa at 19:31.90.
Kate Crowley,
Zoe Cina-Sklar and
Annie Myrvang completed the Garnet runners at the meet with times of 20:12.20, 20:48.40, and 21:57.80, respectively.
The Garnet returns to the course on September 29th for the Dickinson Long/Short Run held at Big Spring High School.
