PRINCETON, N.J. - Led by freshman Jenna Cody, who ran an impressive race to finish in 20thindividually, the Swarthmore College women's cross country team competed at the Princeton Invitational this weekend.
Competing against teams from Division I and Ivy League schools, the Garnet placed 20th as a team.
Cody finished in 22:10, leading the Garnet on the day. Second for the team was senior Rebecca Hammond (82nd/23:09), followed by freshman Katie McMenamin (151st/24:07).
Rounding out the top five were sophomore Liz Tawa with a time of 24:13 (154th) and freshman Sarah Nielsen with a time of 24:26 (163rd).
Also competing for the team was sophomore Zoe Cina-Sklar (214th/26:56), freshman Sophia Frantz (215th/27:14), senior Annie Myrvang (216th/27:14), and junior Ximena Violante (219th/28:29).
The women will now prepare for the Centennial Conference Championship meet at Haverford on Saturday, October 27 at 12:00.
